I was encouraging one of the young ladies who is about to go to college, and they came and beckoned her over asking if she was done (meaning "talking") and told her they had work for her to do. Like they were cracking that plantation whip. I didn't like that. I felt obliged to notify them that I was the one talking to her, and didn't want her to get in trouble. Can't wait til college starts and she gets the heck outta there.
